Students At BYU Hold Walkout, Rally To Criticize Anti-LGBTQ Policies

(Provo, UT) — Students at Brigham Young University say members of the LGBTQ community should be treated just like any other students on campus. Dozens of students walked out of classes and held a rally yesterday in honor of National Coming Out Day. Organizers said their goal was to end policies that allow discrimination against LGBTQ students at religious universities. They also hope to create more support and acceptance for all minority students on campus.
