(Salt Lake City, UT) – The state Parks and Recreation Department is reminding boaters that “nobody is invincible.” That’s the title of the department’s new safety campaign trying to get everyone to wear a life jacket while riding in a boat or using other watercraft. State officials estimate about 80-percent of all boat-related deaths could be prevented by wearing life jackets. More information about boating safety is available on the Utah Parks and Recreation Department website.Â
