(Salt Lake City, UT) – State lawmakers are filing a record number of bills this year. The president of the state Senate announced yesterday that 1272 were filed by lawmakers this year. That breaks the record set last year by 15. Lawmakers defend the number of bills they’re filing by saying they simply responding to their constituents’ needs.Â
