(Salt Lake City, UT) — The state of Utah is forming a commission to help ensure diversity and inclusion in state schools. Governor Cox joined other state lawmakers for the announcement yesterday. The event was held at the State Capitol, near a plaque honoring the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior. The bipartisan commission will work with the Utah State Board of Education to develop a curriculum that emphasizes respect while welcoming a variety of opinions. A timetable for the development of that curriculum has not been announced.
