(Salt Lake City, UT) — State wildlife officials are considering a ban on hunting trumpeter swans. The Division of Wildlife Resources has ended the 73-day swan-hunting season early in each of the last four years. This came after the agency had raised the quota of trumpeter swans from ten to 20 during hunting season. The trumpeter swan is considered the largest bird in North America.
