(St. George, UT) — Stage one fire restrictions are in place across southern Utah. Officials announced Friday the restrictions were put in place for federal, private and state lands in Washington, Iron, Kane, Beaver, and Garfield counties. The move was made because of weather conditions in the area as it gets more hot and dry. This means residents won’t be able to make campfires outside of managed campgrounds or set off fireworks, among other things.
