(Emery County, UT) — A state road in Emery County will be closed for the next few days as crews clean up after several avalanches. The Utah Department of Transportation has closed State Route 31 through Huntington Canyon until Thursday. The road will be closed between milepost 18 and milepost 33. UDOT told the Emery County Sheriff’s Office that a helicopter will be brought in to do more avalanche mitigation and crews will remove the snow and debris before reopening the road.
