(Springdale, UT) — A southern Utah town is getting a boost to its beautification project. Officials approved a proposed downtown plaza in Springdale last week that will be located on Zion Park Boulevard near a rock shop and Best Western hotel. There used to be a home on the plot but it had to be taken down due to termite damage. Mayor Barbara Bruno told St. George News the plaza will be near other shops and restaurants, providing visitors a chance to relax and enjoy what Springdale offers. It’s unclear how long the project would take to develop or when construction would start if fully approved.
