Around 9:00 a.m. on Mar. 19 Spencer Cox announced his running mate via twitter.

In the tweet he stated “it is my honor and privilege to officially introduce to you our next Lt. Governor Deidre Henderson.”

He also made it known that effective immediately Senator Henderson is taking over their campaign while he continues to focus solely on the health and safety of the state.

In response to the announcement Senator Henderson tweeted “I am humbled by this opportunity and grateful that Spencer Cox has trust in me to follow in his footsteps as lieutenant governor.”
