(Kanab, UT) — A southern Utah animal sanctuary is helping a counterpart in New Mexico. The Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab gave a helping hand by taking in 20 dogs and seven cats this month from the New Mexico facility, which was at capacity. That sanctuary was contacted after somebody found the animals in makeshift housing and nobody taking care of them. That’s when Best Friends stepped in, accepting dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes.
