Salt Lake City, UT) — A Utah senator is floating a surprising name for director of the FBI. Republican Senator Mike Lee told “Fox News Sunday” yesterday he’s tossing out the name of former Supreme Court Justice nominee Merrick Garland. Lee says Garland has a lot of prosecutorial experience, having prosecuted the Unabomber and Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. Then-President Obama nominated Garland to the Supreme Court to replace Antonin Scalia, but Republicans never gave him a hearing.
