Snow College President Gary L. Carlston will soon retire from his position at the school.
According to a press announcement, Carlston and his wife, Janet, have led the two-year college since January 2014.
The Utah State Board of Regents will appoint a search committee and conduct a nation-wide search to select the 17th president of the college. President Carlston will remain in office until a successor is hired, which is anticipated to be in early-2019.
“President Carlston has made a profound impact on Snow College,” said Scott Bushnell, Chair of the Snow College Board of Trustees. “I feel strongly that he and his capable wife, Janet, were appointed to this presidency at the right time in Snow’s history. Their talents have created opportunities, and specific needs have been met during their tenure. Members of the Board of Trustees want to extend their sincere appreciation to the Carlstons for their outstanding service and strong leadership. The ‘Spirit of Snow’ is alive and well because of them.”
