Just before 6:30 p.m. on July 7, authorities in Sanpete County responded to a small plane crash about one mile north of Chester. The plane was a small glider that flew out of Nephi with the pilot and one passenger on board.

The glider made an emergency landing in a field, and according to reports there was no plane damage or injuries to either occupant. The FAA is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
