On Jan. 26, deputies from the Millard County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Scipio area to a report of an individual threatening self harm. According to a press release from the Millard County Sheriff’s Office, at some point during the incident, the individual became agitated and discharged a handgun in the air, and returned inside the residence.
Due to the circumstances, a shelter-in-place alert was put out to the residents of Scipio. The situation was resolved and two individuals were taken in to custody. At that point no risk remained to the public and the shelter-in-place was lifted.
