UPDATE 1:45 p.m.: Authorities have charged Alyssa Gentry with two counts of aggravated assault after an investigation.

A Sevier County man is recovering from significant injuries after a stabbing in Aurora Monday afternoon.
According to Sevier County Sheriff Nate Curtis, a couple had been arguing and as the argument escalated, the man and women eventually pulled knives on each other.
David Smalley was life-flighted to Utah Valley Hospital after he was stabbed by Alyssa Gentry.
Curtis says Gentry must have realized that Smalley was badly hurt, because she called 911 and started driving him into town to meet emergency crews.
Curtis says Smalley is lucky to be alive with life-threatening injuries.
Curtis says both Gentry and Smalley are claiming self defense. An investigation is continuing. Authorities are looking at the evidence and trying to match the stories together to find out what really happened.
