Series of Small Earthquakes Strike Near Cedar City

IRON COUNTY, Utah (Spectrum)-Per an article in the Spectrum, Wednesday afternoon and evening, a series of small earthquakes struck near Cedar City.

The Spectrum reports that 13 miles northwest of Cedar City, three earthquakes struck within a span of 11 minutes. The first was a 2.3-magnitude at 2:50 pm MST with the second following at 2:52 pm, featuring a 2.6-magnitude. The third followed close behind at 3:00 pm MST and was a 2.7-magnitude.

There was a fourth that came a bit later, around 9:00 pm MST Wednesday night and featured a 3.0-magnitude. This one, reportedly, could be felt on the outskirts of Enoch.

There were no reports of any damages or injuries incurred during the quakes.
