Sen. Romney Warns That ‘Democracy Is Fragile’ On Anniversary Of Capitol Attack

(Washington, DC) – Republican Senator Mitt Romney is urging Americans to remember important lessons on the one-year anniversary of the U.S. Capitol attack. In a statement yesterday, Senator Romney stated “democracy is fragile,” and said the U.S needs leaders of “integrity and character” who care more about the nation than winning the next election. Romney has been an outspoken critic of former President Donald Trump and his role in fomenting the attack. He was one of seven Republicans to vote in favor of impeaching Trump after he left office.
