(Salt Lake City, UT) — Hundreds-of-people are expected to pay their final respects to the longest serving U.S. senator in Utah history. Senator Orrin Hatch will lie in state today in the Utah State Capitol between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. today. Hatch passed away on April 23rd at the age of 88. The late senator served in office for 42 years before retiring in 2019. A funeral for Senator Hatch will take place Friday afternoon.
