SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Salt Lake City police say a person riding a motor scooter has died after crashing into a car over the weekend.

KUTV-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2v9Jcvl ) the person was riding near Salt Lake City’s Sugar House neighborhood Saturday night when they crashed into a car that was turning left.

The person on the moped was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

Police have not released the rider’s identity or detailed the cause of the crash.
