(Salt Lake City, UT) — Senator Mitt Romney says he’s unlikely to issue an endorsement in Utah’s upcoming U.S. Senate race. Romney told Politico this week that he’s not getting involved in the primary battle between Senator Mike Lee and six other Republicans trying to win the GOP nomination. The former presidential candidate also says he won’t get involved in the general election, especially if it comes down to a race between Lee and independent candidate Evan McMullin. Romney says he considers both men to be friends, which is why he’ll stay on the sidelines.
