Two people are injured after a rollover crash on I-70 near Joseph Monday.
According to a report from the Utah Highway Patrol 20-year-old Gavin Capasso of Richfield was traveling east on I-70 with Megan Wilkinson, also 20 of Richfield, near mile marker 29 when due to fatigue or distraction the Ford Ranger ran off the left side of the road, over corrected and then began to roll.
Capasso, who chose not to wear his seat belt was fully ejected from the vehicle and suffered injuries to his head and extremities. Wilkinson, who wore her seat belt, had no injuries.
The report states that even though Capasso was extremely lucky and survived, his injuries would have been less severe had he worn a seat belt.
