(Salt Lake City, UT) — Rocky Mountain Power is planning to invest millions-of-dollars to provide electric vehicle chargers across the state. Its Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Plan would invest 50-million-dollars to install 100 fast chargers across 20 to 25 locations. Officials say electric vehicle prices are going down, and they’re seeing advances in the batteries, so the biggest barrier to more people adopting electric vehicles is whether or not there’s enough charging infrastructure to support all that. If Rocky Mountain Power’s plan is approved by the Utah Public Service Commission, they could start work on the project next year.
