A Richfield man, Brent Riddle age 48, was arrested Oct. 23 on a volume of charges. The case was reported originally to Richfield City Police who quickly found many of the offenses occurred outside of city limits. The case then became a joint investigation with the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office. According to Sevier County Sheriff Nathan Curtis, “evidence gathered at crime scenes and statements led investigators to believe Riddle had been sexually abusing a female minor. Evidence was corroborated by witness statements and provided evidence for the charges.” Charges include forcible sex abuse, forcible sodomy, dealing in harmful material to a minor, rape and child sex abuse. He is being held in the Sevier County Jail on no bail and will be expected to appear in 6th District court.
