A California couple is facing multiple criminal charges in Richfield after a traffic stop lead police to a large bag of marijuana Saturday.

According to Richfield City Police Chief Trent Lloyd, 29 year old Branna Suri was pulled over for going 39 mph on 25 mph street.

As the officer was questioning her and her passenger, 27 year old Davonte Anderson, he smelled marijuana and noticed particles of marijuana on Suri’s lap.

The officer then found a 10 ounce bag of marijuana in the trunk along with 57 THC vape cartridges.

Chief Lloyd says they believe the drugs were headed to Richfield.

Suri is being charged with speeding, DUI, drugs, and possession of marijuana.

Anderson is charged with having an open container of alcohol and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
