On Dec. 11 the Richfield City Police department put up a statement on their Facebook page warning residents about scam callers.
In the statement they specifically point out a call that many people have been getting where the caller claims they are from the Social Security Administration and that you will be arrested because of some criminal activity.
In the Facebook post they also warn residents that the scam callers are using many different phone numbers, and possibly even the Richfield City Police phone number.
The department issued the reminder to “please as always never give any personal information over the phone.”
