(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s top lawyer is joining more than 40 other U.S. attorneys general in asking TikTok and Snapchat to allow more parental control on their platforms. Attorney General Sean Reyes joined the other AGs in signing a letter addressed to lawyers at both social media platforms this week. The letter said TikTok and Snapchat do not work effectively with parental control apps to allow parents to monitor their child’s activity on the platforms. The letter asked the companies to conform with “standard industry practice” to help parents monitor and protect their children.
