(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah Senate will not move forward with a resolution encouraging Utahns to celebrate Halloween on a specific day of the week. Republican Senator Kirk Cullimore was sponsoring a resolution to urge Utah parents and communities to hold trick-or-treat and Halloween events on the Friday before October 31st. Cullimore said celebrating Halloween on Friday is less disruptive to work and school. The Senate voted down the resolution 16-to-9 on Friday.
