The Millard County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) was notified of a possible trespassing in Fillmore on Tuesday, which led to an arrest on drug charges.
A report from the Millard County Sheriff states that deputies were notified of the possible trespassing at 10:30 am Tuesday, July 18. The owner of the property reported that the previous renter had moved out at the end of June and that they now believed someone had been living in the residence for the past two weeks.
As deputies investigated the trespassing, information was learned that led them to believe there has been drug activity at the residence. The MCSO contacted the Central Utah Narcotics Task Force. The two agencies along with a Division of Wildlife Resource Officer made entry into the residence and located two subjects: 49-year-old Julie Renae Hare and 33-year-old Casey Ray Engstrom.
Deputies also located numerous items of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Hare was arrested and transported to the Millard County Jail on charges of possession with intent to distribute psilocybin mushrooms, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal trespass of a residence. Hare also had an active warrant for her arrest.
The case is still being screened for possible charges against Engstrom.
