(Emery County, UT) — A teen boy won’t face charges in Emery County after Sheriff’s deputies say he made a threat against his school online.
According to investigators, a concerned citizen tipped them off about the student threatening to shoot classmates at Emery High School on Snapchat over the weekend.
Deputies say they interviewed friends of the suspect, as well as classmates he threatened in his posts, and determined that the threat was not credible.
As a precautionary measure while this case was being investigated, law enforcement personnel were assigned to each school in the Emery County School District Tuesday morning to alleviate fears.
