Rep. Phil Lyman To Run For Utah Governor

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah Representative Phil Lyman has announced that he will run for state governor in 2024. He was previously a San Juan County commissioner and helped establish the San Juan County Public Health Department. Lyman gained notoriety back in 2014, when he organized a protest against the Bureau of Land Management at Recapture Canyon, which resulted in a trespassing charge and jail time for the representative. Lyman will run against incumbent Republican Governor Spencer Cox, who plans to run for re-election.
