Ranger Dies After Fall At Bryce Canyon

(Garfield County, UT) — A park ranger is dead after he tripped and fell at Bryce Canyon National Park. It happened on Friday when 78-year-old Tom Lorig fell and hit his head on a rock while directing a visitor to a shuttle bus. Bystanders and medics rendered first aid, but he died of his injuries. Officials say Lorig had worked with the National Park Service since 1968.
