Late in the morning on Feb. 25 Richfield City Police received a call about a woman having her purse stolen while shopping at Walmart. According to the woman the suspect reached into her shopping cart and grabbed her purse before running out of the store.

According to Richfield City Police chief Trent Lloyd they were able to get a description of the suspects vehicle from witnesses and located it a short time later on main street in Richfield.

After searching the vehicle they were able to locate the women’s purse as well as another purse that the suspects had stolen from a person in Moab the day before.

Two suspects were taken into custody in connection with the thefts, one male and one female. No other information is available at this time but this article will be updated as soon as more is released.
