(Brooklyn, NY) — Three protesters who tried to interrupt a hot dog eating contest in New York were apparently trying to bring negative attention to a pig farm in Utah. The three mask-wearing protesters walked onstage at the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest yesterday carrying signs saying “expose Smithfield’s Deathstar.” The signs were reportedly referencing a Smithfield factory farm in Milford that supplies hot dogs used by Nathan’s. The three protesters failed to disrupt the contest and were arrested by police.
