On July 11, around 10:20 a.m. a Richfield City Police Officer noticed a car that had been reported stolen driving in the north east part of town. When the officer tried to pull the vehicle over the driver, Daniel Allison age 30 of Las Vegas, fled the scene. Due to safety concerns the chase was terminated, but a short time later police located the vehicle on the south end of town. This time Allison’s vehicle broke down and he fled on foot near the Richfield Armory.
Due to his proximity to the Snow College and Richfield High School campuses, both were contacted and asked to lock down out of an abundance of caution. Allison was quickly apprehended and was found to be unarmed. He is currently being charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing from police and more.
