OGDEN, Utah (AP) — An armed school employee in Utah held off an attempted kidnapping suspect at gunpoint until officers arrived, police said. It started when the man approached an 11-year-old girl at a school playground in Ogden and grabbed her. Police say he tried to pull her away until a school employee demanded he leave. The employee brought all the children inside the school building, but when the man began punching a window in an apparent attempt to force his way inside, the employee produced a firearm and held him off while calling 911. The man was arrested on suspicion of child kidnapping.
