One dead and six injured in crash near Moab

(Moab, UT) — The Utah Highway Patrol says an Arizona man is dead after a head-on crash on State Route 191 in Grand County.

Investigators say a car driven by Randy Graymountain of Fort Defiance, Arizona crossed the center line of the highway near Moab late Saturday afternoon.

He crashed head-on into a van carrying six people.

Graymountain died at the scene, while the other six people were taken to a Moab hospital for treatment.

Investigators say Graymountain may have been impaired and was driving recklessly before the crash.
