One Arrested for DUI After Colliding With a School Bus In Richfield

At 3:20 p.m. on Apr. 30, Richfield City Police responded to an accident involving a school bus at the intersection of 600 east and 100 north. According to a post to the RCPD Facebook page, “the school bus, carrying children, was traveling northbound when a minivan ran through a yield sign and collided with the back end of the bus, resulting in minor injuries.” According to reports, the driver of the van fled the scene but was located by Richfield City police about 20 minutes later. The driver was arrested for DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to yield, revoked registration, expired registration, driving on a suspended license, lack of insurance, possession of an open container, and 14 counts of reckless endangerment.
