(Switzerland) — Utah officials are coming away from a meeting with the International Olympic Committee with no definitive answers on if the state will host an upcoming Winter Olympics. Members of the committee heading Utah’s bid for the Olympics said yesterday’s meeting in Switzerland was very positive. They were also assured that the IOC had all the material they need to make recommendations to the executive board later this year. The Utah committee would like to host the 2030 Winter Olympics, but members say their bid may be pushed back or dismissed because Los Angeles is hosting the Summer Olympics in 2028.
