(Alton, UT) — Kane County authorities are letting people who live in a mountain community go back home with escorts to get belongings out of their homes. There are about 100 cabins in the evacuation zone in Alton that were evacuated on Tuesday as a result of the Left Fork Fire. The blaze has burned nearly four-thousand acres so far. The area is surrounded by a heavily wooded area.
