(St. George, UT) — The National Weather Service is warning southern Utah of critical fire conditions in the region. A Red Flag Warning was issued for today as high winds and little humidity will create those conditions in different areas. That includes just east of St. George in ZION and Bryce Canyon national parks, as well as Moab and Monticello. Weather officials say winds could gust as high as 45 miles per hour, and want residents to avoid any activities that create sparks.
