New State Flag Raised At Utah Capitol Building

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s newly redesigned state flag is now being flown at Capitol Hill in downtown Salt Lake City. The flag was raised yesterday, with Senator Dan McCay and Governer Spencer Cox present, along with other state leaders. The state legislature adopted the new design earlier this year after a long public design process. While the new flag seems to be gaining popularity, some Utah residents feel differently, saying that incorporation of the new flag is “erasing history”.
