A new Miss Mt. Pleasant was crowned Friday night. Rylee Ann McKay, daughter of John and Debbie McKay, was chosen queen to represent Mt. Pleasant for the next year. Her court consists of first attendant, Mashaylie Burnside and second attendant, Megan Murphy.

McKay is a sophomore at North Sanpete High School and said she was shocked to win the title. She performed a piano solo for her talent, and her mother commented that the once a week trips to Salt Lake to study piano with a University of Utah music professor have paid off.

Mashaylie Burnside was also named Most Photogenic, and Mckenna Murphy was named Miss Congeniality.
