Nearly Half Of Utahns Think Trump Should Face Criminal charges For Role On Jan. 6

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Almost half of Utahns think former president Donald Trump should face criminal charges for his role in the January 6th attack on the U.S Capitol. According to a Desert News, Hinckley Institute of Politics poll, 49-percent of voters say Trump should face prosecution for the rioting that happened that day in 2021. Forty-seven-percent say he shouldn’t face prosecution, while five-percent say they don’t know. The poll was taken before the primetime hearing last week that focused on what Trump was doing for 187-minutes between leaving his rally on the Ellipse and his video message of finally asking rioters at the Capitol to stop.
