Murray Animal Shelter Urges Gov. Cox To Veto Cougar Hunting Bill

(Murray, UT) — The Humane Society of Utah is asking Governor Spencer Cox to veto a bill that would allow yearlong cougar hunting. The Murray-based animal shelter sent the Governor a letter Friday, urging him to stop the measure, which would allow anyone with a license to hunt the large cats all year long. The Humane Society says cougar cubs will be left to starve if the bill is passed. It’s currently waiting on Cox’s signature.
