(Salt Lake City, UT) – An 800-pound statue of Brigham Young and Joseph Smith has been recovered intact and unharmed after being stolen yesterday morning. Salt Lake City police tweeted last night that they had found the statue in good condition after a daylong investigation. At least four people were involved in the initial theft from a loading dock at an office building, but no arrests have been announced. The bronze statue of the two Mormon Church leaders sitting on a park bench was a commissioned replica that was going to be shipped to Illinois.Â
