(Salt Lake City, UT) — More companies say they’re pulling out of the Outdoor Retailer show in protest of recent legislative efforts targeting Bears Ears and the Grand Staircase areas. Companies that say they’re joining Patagonia in the boycott include backpack makers Peak Design, Polartec Fabrics and Power Practical. Convention organizers say they’re taking proposals from other cites to host the twice-annual shows. State lawmakers are looking to rescind the Bears Ears National Monument designation, and reduce the area of the Grand Staircase-Escalante national monument.
