Methamphetamine, Heroin and Cocaine Recovered During Home Arrest in Garfield County

Officers from the Iron, Garfield, Beaver County Task Force along with Garfield County Deputies and one member from the Piute County Sheriff’s Office were all involved in the home arrest of Roxanne Abner-Simpkins on Dec. 28.

During the arrest, over one pound of Methamphetamine, along with a substantial amount of Heroin and Cocaine were recovered from her home. Two other adults, Rhonda Abner and Andrew Sawyer, were also arrested.

Also, during the arrest, a three year old child, the great grandchild of Simkins, was found living in the home and was taken by the Department of Child and Family Services for protection. A test on the child came back positive for opioids and methamphetamines.

Roxanne Abner-Simpkins is expected to be prosecuted federally due to the large amount of drugs and weapons located in the home.
