(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah is paying tribute to law enforcement officers who lost their lives while on duty. The state annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service was held at the State Capitol yesterday. The ceremony honored the 147 police officers who have died in the line of duty since 1853. Their names are displayed on a wall just outside the west doors of the Capitol building.
