(Salt Lake City, UT) — Senate candidate Evan McMullin will not caucus with Republicans or Democrats should he win in the 2022 election. Campaign representatives for McMullin say the former CIA intelligence officer has pledged to serve as an independent representative. Over the weekend, the Utah Democratic Party voted to back McMullin in the general election. Republican Senator Mike Lee will face primary challenges from Becky Edwards and Ally Isom in his bid for a third term.
