Throughout the world, temples belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints continue to reopen through the churches four phase reopening plan.
The reopening of each temple is based on local circumstances and governmental restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. There are also restrictions in place at the temples including masks worn at all times, very limited numbers of patrons in the temple at a time, minimal staff in the temple, sanitizing after each temple ceremony, careful social distancing and seating arrangements, and temperature checks at the entrance.
Church officials have announced that the Manti temple is scheduled to enter phase two reopening on Sep. 7. Phase two opens the temple for all living ordinances, with restrictions. Priority will be given to those who will be sealed, followed by endowments for in-field missionaries, then those departing for missionary service in the near future.
